User Data Deletion Instructions

These instructions apply to personal data processed by DecodeIT, including data received through the Decodeit-ChatAssistant Meta app for Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp integrations.

Disconnect a Meta account

  1. Sign in to your DecodeIT store dashboard.
  2. Open Chat Bot, then Configuration Bot.
  3. Select Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp.
  4. Click Disconnect and confirm.

Disconnecting removes the stored connection credentials and stops new chatbot messages from being processed. It does not automatically delete historical chatbot conversations or other store data.

You can also revoke DecodeIT's Meta authorization from Facebook under Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites . Revoking authorization stops future Meta access but does not by itself delete data already stored by DecodeIT.

Request deletion from DecodeIT

Send an email from the address registered with your DecodeIT account to [email protected] with the subject Meta Data Deletion Request. Include:

  • Your DecodeIT account email address.
  • Your store name and store domain.
  • The platforms involved: Facebook, Instagram, and/or WhatsApp.
  • The connected Facebook Page, Instagram username, or WhatsApp business phone number, if known.
  • Whether you want only Meta integration data deleted or your complete DecodeIT account deleted.

Never send your password, Meta access token, WhatsApp PIN, or one-time verification code.

What we delete

Depending on the scope of your verified request, deletion includes:

  • Meta access credentials stored by DecodeIT.
  • Connected Facebook Page, Instagram account, WABA, and phone-number identifiers.
  • Meta chatbot conversations, messages, sender identifiers, and sender names.
  • Related Meta connection and processing records associated with the account.

Verification, timing, and confirmation

We verify ownership using the registered DecodeIT email address and may request additional non-secret account information. We will acknowledge the request and complete deletion within 30 days. When deletion is complete, we will send confirmation to the verified email address.

We may retain limited information when required for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution obligations. Any retained information remains protected and is deleted when the applicable retention obligation ends.
